Back to 1959, where our humble fireplace showroom stood in the picturesque White Mountain hill of Lisburn, County Antrim.

It was here that our family’s passion embarked on a quest - to bring warmth and joy to households across Ireland by designing and crafting exquisite fireplaces from our very own design workshops. We established our family-owned business committed to design innovation, excellent customer service and quality products.

Meet our founder

Robert C Phillips

Introducing Robert C Phillips, the driving force behind our family business. In 1959, he laid the foundation for a workshop and showroom on the White Mountain Hill. From there, he nurtured a family-run business, Robert Phillips & Sons dedicated to crafting and delivering beautiful fireplaces to households across Ireland.

Our showroom building is located on our family land that has been treasured for over a century. Steeped in history, this building has served multiple purposes throughout the years, having once been a milking parlour and later transformed into a hub of fireplace manufacturing, with two showrooms and a dedicated wood workshop.

Meet our directors

Robert, a second-generation expert in carpentry, design, and fireplace manufacturing, has generously shared his wealth of knowledge with the third generation. At the workshop, you'll often find Robert doing what he loves most - working with his hands and taking on design challenges. Grainne, part of the third generation, possesses her unique creativity, technical expertise, and a genuine passion for helping customers find the perfect solutions for their homes. With her extensive knowledge of materials, she consistently strives to discover new possibilities.

Our New Showroom

We have the privilege of working in the original building, which offers breathtaking views of Lisburn and The Mourne Mountains. Recently, we gave this space a complete refurbishment while preserving its charming character and rich history. Our carefully curated showroom boasts a range of leading products so you’ll find everything you need under one roof. Just like a cozy home, you can expect a warm welcome with a roaring fire, relaxing music, and a cup of hot coffee.
