BEFORE INSTALLATION

  • Homeowners are advised to contact their local BCNI of any proposed works. Please ask one of the team for more informationas we can assist you with the application process.

  • Your chimney flue must be swept in advance of your fitting to ensure it’s clear of debris. We recommend this is carried out as close to your installation date as possible.

  • Your installer will require suitable access to your property on the day of the installation, please contact your installer in advance of you installation date to arrange this.

  • All items from your room will need to be removed, in the case of larger items that may be difficult to remove, these should be suitably covered. If you have any concerns about protecting your items, plese talk to your installer who will be able to advise you.


AFTER INSTALLATION

  • Before operating your appliance, please ensure you read the user manual for correct operating instructions and warranty information.

  • During the first few weeks of operation, your stove needs to go through a curring process called “Burn Off”. This will produce a smell and evena haze which can set off yout carbon monoxide alarm. Each stove butn off time will vary, please refer to your user manual.

  • Only use fuels as outlined in your user manual and purchase fuels from a reputable supplier. Wet/damp logs will damage the flue, only use kiln dried logs. To ensure logs are suitable, it’s best to invest a moisture meter which be purchased in store.

  • Keep all your order documentation including your sales order and stove make/model as this will be needed when ordering spare parts and registering your warranty.


SERVICING

  • To make sure you maximize the performance and lifespan of your stove, it's important to have it serviced and swept annually by a qualified service engineer and chimney sweep. Please get in contact with us to learn more about how we can assist you in organizing this.

  • It’s a legal requirement that all gas appliances are serviced yearly. this is usually carried out by the Gas Safe Engineer who installed your appliance.

  • For electrical appliances, please refer to your user manual for warranty information.
